Why Texas dealers need bilingual follow-up
Texas has one of the largest Hispanic populations in the country, with major Spanish-speaking communities in Houston, Dallas–Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin, El Paso and the Rio Grande Valley. For many of those customers, a conversation in Spanish is the difference between booking an appointment and buying somewhere else. Call Contact Confirm’s agents handle every lead and call in English or Spanish.
Texas outreach rules changed in 2025
Texas has long had its own telemarketing statutes, including a state no-call list. In 2025, Senate Bill 140 expanded the state’s definition of “telephone solicitation” to cover text messages and other electronic transmissions, effective September 1, 2025, and created a path for consumers to sue under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act.
For dealerships, the practical takeaway is that texting Texas customers now deserves the same care as calling them: documented consent, clear opt-outs that are honored immediately, and attention to whether registration requirements apply to your outreach. Our team honors opt-outs and do-not-contact flags, schedules outreach around customers’ local time, and logs everything in your CRM. This is general information, not legal advice. Talk to your dealership’s attorney about your specific consent and texting practices.
