Colorado’s Spanish-speaking car buyers

About one in five Coloradans is Hispanic, with long-established Hispano families in southern Colorado and large Mexican and Central American communities in metro Denver, Aurora, Greeley and along the Front Range. Many customers are bilingual, but plenty prefer to talk through financing, trade values and repairs in Spanish. Call Contact Confirm works every lead and call in English or Spanish, whichever the customer prefers. See bilingual BDC.

Colorado’s No-Call List Act

On top of the federal TCPA and the National Do Not Call Registry, Colorado has its own No-Call List Act (C.R.S. 6-1-901 and following), with rules from the Colorado Public Utilities Commission. In general terms, it:

  • covers home and wireless numbers on the Colorado no-call list,
  • treats text messages as telephone solicitations, not just calls,
  • requires telephone solicitors to register and to update their no-call lists within 30 days of the start of each calendar quarter, and
  • prohibits blocking caller ID.

Calls are generally allowed where there’s an established business relationship, the customer’s prior permission, or within 30 days after a customer inquires about a purchase, which is relevant to many dealership leads. Our team honors do-not-call requests immediately and respects your CRM’s do-not-contact flags. This is general information, not legal advice. Your dealership’s attorney should review how these rules apply to your store.
