New York’s Spanish-speaking car buyers
New York has one of the largest and most diverse Spanish-speaking populations in the country, with Puerto Rican, Dominican, Mexican, Ecuadorian, Colombian and many other communities across the five boroughs, Long Island, Westchester and upstate cities. Many customers are bilingual, but plenty prefer to discuss financing, trade values and repairs in Spanish. Call Contact Confirm works every lead and call in English or Spanish, whichever the customer prefers. See bilingual BDC.
New York’s telemarketing rules
On top of the federal TCPA and the National Do Not Call Registry, New York has its own telemarketing law in General Business Law section 399-z. In general terms, it:
- restricts the hours when sales calls can be made,
- requires callers to identify themselves, the company they represent and the purpose of the call, and
- under a 2022 amendment, requires sales callers to offer, at the start of the call, the option to be added to the company’s do-not-call list, and to add the number when asked.
Our team honors opt-outs immediately and respects your CRM’s do-not-contact flags. This is general information, not legal advice. Your dealership’s attorney should review your outreach policies.
