The Idaho Telephone Solicitation Act

On top of the federal TCPA, the Idaho Telephone Solicitation Act (Idaho Code 48-1001 and following) and Idaho Code 48-603A generally:

  • require many solicitors to register with the Attorney General at least 10 days before calling,
  • require stating the purpose, the caller’s identity, the trade name and the goods right after the greeting,
  • use the National Do Not Call Registry as Idaho’s list,
  • require hanging up immediately when asked, and
  • prohibit blocked or misleading caller ID.

Do Not Call violations can bring civil penalties of $500, then $2,500, then $5,000. Our team honors opt-outs immediately and respects your CRM’s do-not-contact flags. This is general information, not legal advice. Your dealership’s attorney should review your consent forms and outreach policies.
