Why Illinois dealers need bilingual follow-up
The Chicago area has one of the largest Mexican-American and Latino communities in the United States, and Spanish-speaking car buyers live throughout the suburbs and across the state. Many are bilingual, but plenty prefer to discuss financing, trades and repairs in Spanish. Call Contact Confirm works every lead and call in English or Spanish, whichever the customer prefers. See bilingual BDC.
The Illinois Telephone Solicitations Act
On top of the federal TCPA and the National Do Not Call Registry, Illinois has its own Telephone Solicitations Act (815 ILCS 413). In general terms, a live caller selling goods or services must:
- not call between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m.,
- immediately state their name, the business they represent and the purpose of the call,
- ask at the start of the call whether the person consents to the solicitation,
- stop calling and remove the number from the contact list when the person asks, and
- never block caller ID when the phone system can display the number.
Our team honors opt-outs immediately and respects your CRM’s do-not-contact flags. This is general information, not legal advice. Your dealership’s attorney should review your outreach policies.
