Georgia’s growing Spanish-speaking market
Georgia’s Hispanic population has grown quickly over the past two decades, with large Mexican, Puerto Rican, Guatemalan, Salvadoran and Colombian communities across metro Atlanta, especially Gwinnett, Cobb and DeKalb counties, plus Dalton, Gainesville and other cities. Many customers are bilingual, but plenty prefer to talk through financing, trade values and repairs in Spanish. Call Contact Confirm works every lead and call in English or Spanish, whichever the customer prefers. See bilingual BDC.
Georgia’s No Call law
On top of the federal TCPA and the National Do Not Call Registry, Georgia has its own No Call law (O.C.G.A. 46-5-27), with rules from the Georgia Public Service Commission. In general terms:
- Georgia’s No Call list is the Georgia portion of the National Do Not Call Registry, and it covers home, mobile and wireless numbers.
- Callers must clearly identify who is calling at the beginning of a sales call.
- Blocking caller ID is prohibited.
- Solicitors are expected to update their call lists at least quarterly.
- A consumer who receives more than one violating call within 12 months can sue.
